Tagliatelle Bolognese Closet Cooking
Tagliatelle Bolognese is a classic Italian pasta dish featuring a rich and savory meat sauce. This recipe adds a twist with the Closet Cooking method, infusing it with deep flavors and aromas. Its a comforting and satisfying meal perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 300g tagliatelle pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 250g ground beef
- 250g ground pork
- 1 carrot, finely chopped
- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 can 400g crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
Cook tagliatelle pasta according to package instructions until al dente
Drain and set aside
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat
Add diced onion and minced garlic, saut until softened
Add ground beef and ground pork to the skillet
Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon
Stir in chopped carrot and celery
Cook for another 5 minutes
Pour in red wine and cook until it reduces by half
Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, dried oregano, and dried basil
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Simmer the sauce for 20-25 minutes until thickened
Serve the cooked tagliatelle topped with Bolognese sauce and grated Parmesan cheese
