Bacon Aglio Olio
Ingredients:
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the spaghetti until al dente, following the directions on the package
After draining, set aside
Heat the olive oil in a big skillet over medium heat
When the bacon is crispy, add it chopped and cook it
While leaving the bacon fat in the skillet, remove the bacon and set it aside
Add the red pepper flakes and thinly sliced garlic to the skillet with the bacon fat
Saute the garlic for one to two minutes, or until it becomes aromatic and golden
Take care to prevent burning it
Add the crispy bacon and cooked spaghetti
Toss to thoroughly mix in all the ingredients
To taste, add salt and black pepper for seasoning
Cook for a further two to three minutes, or until thoroughly heated through
Take off the heat and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley on top
Enjoy your flavorful Bacon Aglio Olio while its still hot
