Grillable Veggie Burger

This grillable veggie burger is packed with flavor and perfect for a summer cookout. Made with black beans, quinoa, and a variety of seasonings, its hearty, satisfying, and sure to please vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can 15 ounces black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, avocado, onion slices, vegan cheese

Instructions:

Mash the black beans in a big bowl until they are mostly smooth

BBQ sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, red onion, bell pepper, cilantro, bread crumbs, and cooked quinoa should all be added

Mix everything together well

Make burger patties out of the four equal parts of the mixture

Warm the grill up to a medium-high level

Grease the grill grate a little

Put the burger patties on the grill and cook them for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are lightly charred and warm all the way through

If you want, you can toast the burger buns on the grill for one to two minutes

Put the burgers together by putting a patty on a bun and topping it with whatever you like

Serve right away and enjoy
