Slow Cooker Garlic Chicken
With this Slow Cooker Garlic Chicken recipe, you can make chicken that is tender and full of flavor, thanks to the garlic and herbs. This dish is simple and filling, making it great for busy weeknights or special events.
Ingredients:
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together minced garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, honey, basil, oregano, rosemary, black pepper, and red pepper flakes
Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker
Pour the garlic sauce over the chicken
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender
Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred with forks
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth
Stir the mixture into the sauce in the slow cooker
Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce
Cover and cook on high for an additional 15-20 minutes, until sauce thickens
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley
