Parmesan Chicken Casserole
This Parmesan Chicken Casserole is a comforting and satisfying dish that combines tender chicken breasts with savory marinara sauce and gooey melted cheese, all baked to perfection. Its a crowd-pleaser thats perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings with friends and family.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat
Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant
Add chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side
Transfer chicken breasts to a baking dish
Spread marinara sauce over the chicken breasts
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the sauce
Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and golden
